How Is This Not Seen As Animal Abuse?

Hawaii, as well as many other states in the US, often hold strength competitions in which dogs compete for grand title of Strongest Dog.  Afterall, we all know that dogs, in this case pit bulls, love trophies.  FALSE.  All dogs (well most dogs) want is to please their self-indulgent, ignorant owners.  In the video below you will see helpless dogs strapped to 4000 pounds of material.  The precious pit bulls are expected to impress their owners by pulling the weight a certain distance.  They try, they really do.  But it’s hard for them.  This is a completely selfish and unfortunate competition that teaches humans to treat their animals abusively.  If you don’t consider this wrong, I’d love to know why.  Fill me in!
